the PLEN2 make noise

1、I get my PLEN2,and had it assembled.However,once I turn on the two switchs ,it make noises,and the leg move to another position which isn't stright.I even dare not tune the home postion of the servos.Could you please give me some advice?
2、By the way,I buy the assembly kit of developer edition PLEN2,do I need to update the firmware of my PLEN2?Thank you very much!
3、After I run the control-server,I open the PLENUtilities,but it report "the control-server hasn't run",what happened?
